St John is St Thomas' quieter sister with as many spectacular scuba diving and snorkeling inside Pillsbury Sound and beyond.

St John is situated in between St Thomas, where most tourists to the Virgin Islands arrive, and the British Virgin Islands. More than half of Saint John is protected by the Virgin Islands Marine Park, making it a much more remote and quieter destination. The green rolling hills provide for plenty of hiking trails (Lind Point Trail, Salt Pond Bay Trail), camping trips and its many beautiful bays are excellent locations for sea kayaking, sailing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. Besides the Sugar Mill ruins of Annaberg, it are mainly the many white beaches, pristine bays, tropical nature and its fantastic viewpoints that attract visitors from all over the world.

The most populated area of St John is Cruz Bay, a pretty commercial center in the west. Dive boats share many dive sites with boats coming from Red Hook (USVI) and often visit Grass Cay, Mingo Cay, Lovango Cay, Congo Cay and Carval Rock inside Pillsbury Sound. Beautiful white sanded bays such as Hawksnest Bay, Trunk Bay, Cinnemon Bay and Francis Bay are popular getaways in the north of St John. Further east is Leinster Bay with Waterlemon Cay. Coral Bay in the east makes it possible to dive remote destinations like Flanagan Island and Leduck Island. Here, you will find brilliant fringing reefs, white sanded ocean floors and many remote dive sites such as Eagle Shoal filled with fascinating species. A dive and snorkel paradise to treasure.
